Charitable status and corporation tax:
Compliance with the statutory requirements pursuant to Sections 51 et seq. of the German Fiscal Code (AO) was separately determined by the Munich I Tax Office, tax number 842/43215, in its decision dated 15 September 2025 pursuant to Section 60a AO.
We are exempt from trade tax due to
- Support for education (Section 52 (2) sentence 1 no. 7 AO),
- Support for public and vocational education, including student assistance (Section 52 (2) sentence 1 no. 7 AO),
- Support for internationalism, tolerance in all areas of culture and the idea of international understanding (Section 52 (2) sentence 1 no. 13 AO)
- and support for development cooperation (Section 52 (2) sentence 1 no. 15 AO)
According to the exemption notice or the annex to the corporation tax assessment notice issued by the Munich I tax office, No. 842/43215 dated 15 September 2025, for the last assessment period 2021-2023, we are exempt from corporation tax pursuant to Section 5 (1) No. 9 of the Corporation Tax Act and from trade tax pursuant to Section 3 No. 6 of the Trade Tax Act.
