Student exchange across continents

Over the years, close friendships have developed between schools in Murnau and Ghana. In recent years, a lively student exchange programme has developed between the Realschule im Blauen Land in Murnau, the Christoph-Probst-Mittelschule in Murnau, the Takyiman Presbyterian Senior High School in Atwima and the Catholic Basic School in Ankobra, which has greatly enriched the students on both continents. They get to know a different school system, improve their English or German, immerse themselves in a different culture and way of life, and learn from each other in a playful way. As the German-Ghanaian friendship association, we support the exchange with ideas and great enthusiasm!
Other projects
Support for the fire brigade
To support the emergency services in our partner region of Atwima, a fire engine that had been decommissioned in Murnau but was still in working order was donated to Ghana.
German-Ghanaian learning booklets
Schoolchildren in Ghana and Germany have collaborated to create an ABC booklet and a 123 booklet so that they can learn together.
The Gentle Souls Foundation
The Gentle Souls Foundation is an association in our partner community of Atwima that gives girls and young women real prospects for independence and self-determination.
